I enjoy taking on hands-on Product Leadership roles (CPO, Head of Product) on an interim or fractional basis, mostly with early-stage startups. I typically spend 1-3 days per week with the team. These engagements last 3-12 months with a goal such as launching an MVP.

I am both a 'thinker' and a 'doer' which means my projects often incorporate execution of a strategy. Where the in-house team lacks the necessary skills or bandwidth, I can help hire the right people, find a well matched third-party or offer support with my own team at Moonstory Studio.

Relationships are strange. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't - and that's okay. I've found the best way to figure out whether we'll work well together is to start with a quick chat, maybe work on something small, and then be honest with each other about whether we'd like to go further.

  • My favourite projects have a combination of strategy work, product development, process setting and coaching.

  • I have a strong bias for action and will always favour testing, learning and refining over drawn-out planning and analysis. I'll do what works. If you're rigorous about specific methods or frameworks, I'm not your person.

  • I love fast-paced environments but hate chaotic rushing. Figure that.

  • I'm not a 'Yes' person. I will challenge you, and will expect to be challenged in return.

  • Though I am outgoing, meetings with no agenda, long conversations and random phone calls drain me. No, thank you.
