What I Do
Product Leadership
I enjoy taking on hands-on Product Leadership roles (CPO, Head of Product) on an interim or fractional basis with startups. I typically spend 1-3 days per week with the team. These engagements last 3-12 months with a goal such as launching a new feature set or a re-brand.
I am both a 'thinker' and a 'doer' which means my projects often incorporate direction-setting as well as execution. Where the in-house team lacks the necessary skills or bandwidth, I help to hire the right people or find a well matched third-party.
Coaching, advisory & other projects
Often, I take the role of a coach or advisor, working directly with a founder who is new to Product. My engagements also include coaching Product Managers or Engineers to become more strategic and product-minded.
Established organisations hire me to lead Digital Transformations or other change projects that involve process and technology improvements.

My favourite projects have a combination of strategy work, product development, process setting and coaching.
I have a strong bias for action and will always favour testing, learning and refining over drawn-out planning and analysis. I'll do what works. If you're rigorous about specific methods or frameworks, I'm not your person.
I love fast-paced environments but hate chaotic rushing. Figure that.
I'm not a 'Yes' person. I will challenge you, and will expect to be challenged in return.
Though I am outgoing, meetings with no agenda, long conversations and random phone calls drain me. No, thank you.
